QuestionHi its me you answered a question a few days ago. Sorry to bother you again but im sat here now at nearly 1 in the morning with a squeaky mouse in the cage behind me. I am not 100% sure what mouse as i have two but i think it is the one i was concerned about the other day.
She was fine last night then started to squeak slightly through night. Then in the morning a minor amount of fur was lost from her head. Now she is squeaking all the time unless i disturb them with light (to wake them up as they are in nest at moment). I am worried but wondered if my other mouse was a male could they be mating? I am not experianced with mice at all so wouldnt know. Please answer me :)
Also are males smaller or larger than females? Just wondering :)
AnswerDear Demi,
If one mouse is chasing the other and there is squeaking, they might be mating-- or they could just be two males, or two females, establishing dominance.
If the mouse is squeaking a lot without being touched, she is very sick and needs to go to the vet.
Males are often a little smaller than females, though there are some large males.
Best of luck to the mice!
squeaks,
Natasha
