Question
QUESTION: Hi just a quick question i have found 2 field mice under my sink and was wondering what would be the best way to move them back to the wild as i have 4 cats and they know where the mice are. Do you know if the mice will turn if i move them to the wild. Thanks for your time

Josie

ANSWER: Hi Josie,

You need to bring them over a mile away from the house, since wild mice can have a territory of up to a mile. Release them in a field or wooded area where there is cover.

Thank you for caring!

Answer
Hi Josie,

Oh, I thought you already had them. What a cute picture! It is just sitting there in your hand! Maybe you need another pet?

There are many humane mouse traps on the market. The most common is the Havahart or Have-a-Heart trap. Just a quick look online even on Amazon will find you what you need. There is another option which you may like better, though. If cats are your smallest pets, then you can get a plug-in electronic rodent repeller. These small devices create a high pitched sound that hurts rodent ears. I have never used it myself because I have pet rodents. But it might be a nice longer term solution if what you have is a big family of mice who occasion your sink.

If you try one of those, write back to tell me if it works!
