QuestionHi.
I have two mice and reacently they wer treated with a weeks antibiotics due to sneezing. Now they have started to make a tiny squeek and small tutting noise. This noise is so quiet that I have to be within about 3 inches of the mouse to hear it - some times its not there at all! Am I getting a bit ver concerned or could there be an issue??
Everything else is fine - eating, drinking, playfull
any ideas??
thanks
AnswerDear Greg,
When a mouse has had a respiratory infection it often makes a permanent change in its 'voice.' Mice actually squeak all the time in such high pitch that we can't hear it. But when they have been sick, their 'voice' gets lower. You are simply hearing the 'talking' they have always done. I find it really sweet to know when they are talking to me!
No worries, but it's a good thing you notice something like that, and it never hurts to ask.
squeaks n giggles,
