My pet mouse is acting different and sick!

I have to mice, both girls, and one is acting different. She is grinding her teeth and has scratches on her back. She has gotten bigger, and is lumpy now, and she makes loud noises and when she does, her tummy moves!

    Help me! Is there any chance that she might be pregnant? I got both females from petsmart. They are fancy mice but what do i do?!?!

Dear Sammi,

It sounds like your mouse is very sick.  She may have some tumors inside her belly.  If you can take her to the vet please do so asap because she is apparently suffering.  If the vet can't fix her problem they can put her to sleep humanely.  

I'm very sorry about your mouse.  You might want to get another mouse now so your other girl will have someone if the sick mouse passes on.  It's important for mice not to be alone if at all possible.
