Black tail

Hi,

I have a fancy female mouse called Bella. I've seen other mice with bits of black on their tails but my mouses tail is just white. I was wondering why my mouse has a white tail while the other mice have black ones.

The colour of the tail is determined by the genes of the mouse, it's just like with the colour of the fur. Breeders usually try for mice that have a tail with just one colour, but that doesn't always happen, depending on the genetic makeup of the mouse.
