new girlfriend mouse

I am thinking about getting a girl mouse for Moo.(I know they will have babies,we worked that part out)I only have one cage, so my quesion is will they fight if I put the girl mouse in right away?Moo and the mouse I have my eye are both about 8 months old

Dear Rose,

Although mice often have an introduction period where they try to figure out who's boss, soon you will find Moo chasing his new girlfriend; they will mate within 5 days.   She will squeak a lot; that's normal.
