QuestionMy mouse copernicus has recently started overly cleaning himself and obsessivley scratching his ears, his one ear just looks like one big scab. i think it might be mights but i never see any. any help you may be able to give will be much appreciated.
AnswerDear Joan,
There are several causes of scratching and wounds, but mites are the most common. Unlike lice, mites are too small to see. In the following post I explained how to treat for mites if you can't get to a vet. A vet visit is always the safest way to go. I would recommend the stronger, rodent spray for your mouse:

Best of luck to Copernicus (cute name!).
