Questioni have quite a few mice and when i went to feed them i noitced one of the feamles was in the corner rolling around at first i laughed about it then when she didnt stop i picked her up and as she layed in my hand she kept rolling her one eye was closed and she wouldnt stop. it looked as if she was having a seizure or a stroke. i moved her to a cage all by herself but not sure if she will make it. what could of happened to her?
AnswerDear Kris,
I think you are right; your mouse probably either had a seizure or maybe something like a stroke. Either way it isn't infectious. However, there is the possibility that she has a bad ear infection. You can try putting her on antibiotics. Still I would keep her with the others-- if she doesn't feel well, she will be very unhappy alone.
If you decide to try antibiotics, here is a post which explains how. The mouse in this post had a different situation, but the method is the same: An initial dose followed by a week of treated water. The treated water should be their only source. It's fine that the others drink it.
