my white mouse is facing itching problem n have serious scars in his body.pls can you tell me any spray or medicine i can give him and is available in India.please help me i cant see my tuktuk(mouse) like this.

Hi Priya,

I really need to know more about his condition before I can help, or if possible, you could take him to a veterinarian who works with pocket pets like mice.  A vet will be able to do something called a skin scrape to identify what is causing the itching, and then be able to get you the most appropriate course of action or medication.

Several things can cause itching, including allergies, mites and other parasites, stress or neurological ticks, irritation from unrelated injuries such as from fighting, and even irritants in the environment.  Allergies and mites are very common, and would be my suggestion on where to start first.  Does he live alone?  Where are his scabs or scars - are they around his face, neck, shoulders, and ears?  Or all over his body?  Has anything in his environment or diet recently changed?

If you can help me out with these questions, I can help you get started on an at-home treatment, but again, a veterinarian would be best if possible.  Please feel free to write me a follow-up question and I will do my best!
