We found a baby mouse in the woods

Question
               We found a baby mouse in the woods with its eyes closed. It is just
to have a little bit of gray fur. We left it in the woods. When we came back
(hoping the mother had taken it back to her nest) it was still there. We don't
know what to do. My husband is saying it may not survive the night. Right
now it is in the woods.
               How can we keep it alive if the mother doesn't come and get. PLEASE
reply soon. We are counting on you
