Question
I have a white mouse of almost 2 years and suddenly he has become more passive, does't fully open his eyes and when he walks, he walks very slowly, shaking a little. He still eats but not very much. Could he just be lonely or could this be a sign of natural death?

Answer
Dear Didi,
thank you for your question.
Two years is a good age for a mouse. It's possible that your mouse will die soon, just of old age, but it may also be that he will grow older still, but won't be as active and fit as he was. I recommend a vet visit to rule out any medical problems, www.rmca.org/Vets has a list of mouse vets.
I hope I was of some help to you
