she is my only mouse and atleast i know why she is not lonerly

ANSWER: Hi again Jessie!

I'm sorry you and your mouse are sad.  However, the little boy wild mouse should not visit because he might have diseases or parasites that would hurt or even kill Micheal.  Maybe you can get her a little girlfriend from the pet store.  The new mouse should be smaller because Micheal might be very protective of her babies.  Or wait till after the babies are older.

You are going to have to figure out a way to keep the wild mouse out.  If it only got in because of the bent wires, then just bend the wires back.  However, if it is small enough to climb through the regular bars you have a bit of a problem.  I have been having this problem recently too!

One thing to do is put the cage somewhere where the wild boy can't get to it.  This is more difficult than it sounds, though.  A tabletop with nothing else touching it would work, but wild mice will climb up anything.

What I have chosen to do involves a bit of work.  I have bought 'hardware cloth' (1/4" galvanized steel mesh) and have made a cover to fit over the wire cage.

The easiest and probably best thing to do is get another cage.  Either one with smaller wire gaps, or a plastic one, or an aquarium.

Micheal isn't really mad at you.  She'll be fine.  if she likes it, hold her for a little while and she will forget it.

Answer
Dear Jessie,

terrific, I'm sure you'll catch the little intruder soon.  I have a live trap too.  Be sure to let the mouse out several miles from your home because they do find their way home!!!

Give Micheal a kiss on the nose for me!
