new behavior

Question
My guinea pig (Knickers) has changed a behavior in the past week and I just want to know if it's something I should be concerned about.  He used to always sleep in his igloo, but lately he's been taking some naps outside in the middle of his cage.  There's nothing physically wrong with him from what I can tell.  He still eats and drinks and his poop looks normal.  I know this might seem like a dumb question but I know any change in behavior can mean something.  I'm hoping it means he's getting more comfortable around me (I adopted him from someone about 2 weeks ago) but I just wanted to double check!!  Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it.

Answer
Hi Cheryl

I think your explanation about him being more comfortable around you is exactly the situation.

You are always right to be concerned about behaviour changes so it is not a dumb question at all. However, you certainly don't need to worry at all. The two things to look out for a sick piggy are eating/drinking changes and looking sad and fluffed up.

Give my regards to Knickers.
