Hi andy, im kelyn!im working as a part timer in a petshop.There was a customer said that she found a dead brown insect in her guinea pigs body, what kind of insect could it be beside fleas? if it is a fleas does it affect human body? she change her guinea pig bedding every three days, how to make sure the guinea pig is anti bacteria free? does sandflies spread to guinea pig?

The only insect that really affects guinea pigs are fleas. They also get mites but these can't really be seen by the eye. It's more likely that a flying insect has just landed on the guinea pig and remained there.

Cleaning the cage out once every three days is fine but it is also good to use an antibacterial disinfectant to clean it also.
