Two Males together

Question
Hello Sir,
Due to the death of one of my male guinea pigs, I am considering getting another male to keep the other company.  Gunniess my surviving Pig, is unaltered and very well/good natured.  I can not find any definitive answer on the best process for adding another male, or whether or not it is a good idea.  Any help appreciated.

Answer
Hi Andrew

Gosh, I dont get called sir very often lol!

If Gunniess has adapted well to being on his own, it might be as well not to add another piggy as this can often not go to plan.

However, usually, if you add a baby male to an adult, you will usually not experience any problems although there might be a bit of chasing, mounting etc, whilst the 2 pigs decide who is gonna be boss.

Hope that helps.

Andy
