Breeding guinea pig

Question
My little G.piggy is 9.5 months old. Is it too late to breed her? I am in the process of making a list of 6 people who want little pups and my friend has a 8 month old boar. Thank you so much!!!

Answer
She's actually at the perfect age to breed. When you introduce her to the boar make sure you leave them together for at least four or five weeks.  Guinea pigs don't breed as easily as rabbits. They also don't come into heat on a predictable and regular basis.

Typically they come into heat about every two or three weeks. By leaving her with the boar you will be more assured that she will be successfully bred.
