Why does my guinea pig drink lots of water?

Answer
Different guinea pigs drink different amounts. If your guinea pig is older or over weight it could be a sign of diabetes, which in guinea pigs there is nothing you can do, but do not worry about it. Often younger guinea pigs will drink less, then progressively more as they age, it just depends on how much water they think they need everyday.
