socks but i dont know if those should go in his cage or not. i would like to
know how we could build a stronger relationship and what i could do to make
him more friendly with me

Answer
It sounds like you are doing everything right to build a strong relationship with him.  You can definitely give him toys like blocks and socks.  Just make sure you buy wooden blocks or wooden sticks that are made for small animals, because the paint on those is okay for guinea pigs to chew on.  I also would not just give him a sock.  You can fill it with timothy hay and tie it at the end.  This way it will give your guinea pig something to roll around and lay on, kind of like a pillow.  It is great that you hold him everyday, and let him run around to get exercise.  Feeding him by hand when you are holding him is a great way to build a strong relationship with him, because he will associate treats with you, which is a positive thing.  The only suggestion I have for you is to maybe sit in the room with him when he is running around.  This way, he can run to you, you can pet him, and hold him, etc.  It really does sound like you are doing things right, so good job!  Just have fun with him, and let him know that you will not hurt him, that you are only there to love.  You will definitely have a strong relationship with him if you continue with what you are already doing.  Good job.
