Male with a strange rear

My male hamster has what appears to be balls but they were not there when we initially bought him. They're getting bigger and they are soft and pink (there are two) and oval-shaped, and underneath his tail. Is this normal or is it some sort of tumor?

great question!

there's nothing to worry about here. your hammy is literally just cooling them off!
normally male hamsters keep their balls tucked away but if they get a bit warm, they let them hang out for an airing!
it does look a bit strange i agree but after keeping 4 male hamsters in my time, believe me i know what hamster balls look like! :)
