Gerbils-introducing

hey,i have a problem.....i really want to introduce a young gerbil to a slightly younger pair....without causing any trouble how on earth can they get put in the same tank without fighting :( please help me ..... thankyou

Hello Jordan,

Unfortunately i very much doubt you will ever be abe to do that successfully. It is hard enough to introduce a gerbil to a another single gerbil, but introducing one into a pair will be basically impossible.

It is highly likely the pair will gang up on the third and kill it, as they will be established as a pair!!

If you want to mix gerbils you normally need to do it when they are literally only a few weeks old, which is before pet shop age!!!

If you let me know the age and sex of the gerbils you have then i can tell whether their is any chance at all, because their are differences between the sexes, and age makes all the difference!!
