Hamster / What kind

Hi, I have a short haird black hamster with a white small string of white hair down the chin to the stomach would you know what kind of hamster that is?

Hi Brooke,

It sounds like you have a Syrian hamster (also called Teddy Bear hamsters, Golden hamsters, Black Bear hamsters, and Panda Bear hamsters).  Syrian hamsters come in a number of different colors, while Dwarf hamsters are generally either tan and white, or grey and white.  Here's a link to a website showing you some colors of Syrian hamsters:
