hamster period

recently  got 2 hamsters 1 fmale and 1 male when i was cleaning cage noticed fm was  limping. and later she was bleeding vaginal is she in heat or is she pregnant  what should i do.

sounds like there may have been a fight going on between the two. Hamsters don't have periods and if they are pregnant they shouldn't bleed during pregnany. Did you whipe her and look for any type of wound or bite marks. A lot of times when hamsters fight they will bite at the private areas a lot. I would first try seperating them both into different cages. If they are already seperated and neither hamster has had contact with the other than you need to take the female to a vet to get looked at because she could have a urinary tract infection or something worse. I would take her to a vet for sure as soon as you can. Good luck and keep me posted
