Whats going on with my hamster

Recently my hamster starting acting funny...he is shaking and not moving much. I have noticed that he is keeps his eyes closed and one doesnt open. Yet the other day he was still running in his wheel, but not at his normal pace? What do you think? He also is over 2 yrs old.

he does sound like he's slowing down in age and it sounds like he has an eye infection as well. If you can taking the hamster to a vet would be the best thing to do. He's slowing down naturally due to age so I don't think much can be done for that, but at least the doctor could help with the eye problem.
