Question
Hi,
My hamster is a year old.
I have checked a lot of hamster health pages and it
turned out that a damp nose means he is unhealthy.
What shoud I do?
Thank you!
Ekaterina

Answer
Hi Ekaterina,

Your hamster could have a cold. There isn't much you can do for it. It will just have to run it's course.
Another thing that can make your hamsters nose wet is allergies. Some hamsters can be irritated by dusty wood shavings or strong smelling dyes in bedding (especially cedar or pine bedding, these are toxic to hamsters). If you are using either of these types of bedding you should get rid of them as soon as possible and use either Aspen or a type like Critter Care.
