do my hamsters want to fight or mate?

i need to know if my hamsters want to fight or mate. heres what they are doing...
1.i introduce them then they keep running around madly.
2. they try to escape non-stop
3. chewing on bars constantly
4. when i have held the boy in my hand, the female keeps sniffing my hand. but this is not the same for the male.

from what you have described they are really just acting normal. You typically won't see mating until it's night time though. What you are observing right now is normal activity. If they were to fight there would be scratches and wounds on their body and lots of screaming going on.
