Mother hamster seems nervious

I got 5 new born hamster babies and they are 18 days old.. babies are healthy and good.. but momma hamster is acting different and she seems nervous last couple of days.. she is always running in the wheel and around the cage... I wonder what is wrong.. please help me..

Hi Andy,

Your babies are almost fully grown and nearly ready to be rehomed. The mother just wants her own space and time again, let her out in her excersize ball and give her some time away from the babies.

You MUST start separating the babies into males and females or they will soon mate with each other and have even more babies.

Start rehoming them when the are 6-8 weeks old.
