My ferret is licking my face relentlessly

Question
Hi,
I have an older ferret (about 6 years old, but she is adopted, so I'm not entirely sure) and recently she started licking my face and hands constantly.  It happens everytime I pet her or pick her up.  I'm wondering if she is just being loving, or if there is something wrong (e.g. she is lacking something in her diet that she can pick up from licking me)?

Thanks!

Answer
Well, ferrets can lick your face, commonly, for 2 reasons.  One - you are sweaty and therefor tasty or licking is a way ferrets "groom" each other when they live in groups.  Is she is alone she may just be grooming you.  I wouldn't worry about it unless she is showing other symptoms - like aggression, hair loss or a swolen vulva which could be Adrenal or moments where she seems to space out or appear confused which may be insulinoma.  She is the right age for either.
