Hello Laura and thank you for your question.

They must be vaccined with a proof of recient rabies vaccine fiurstly. Second they must be kept within a dog or cat carrier and genrally within the cargo area. Be sure to get a water bottle and clip on food cup for the flight, its best to make sure the carrier isn't too small a 2 foot carrier is better then a tiny 1 foot carrier even if the ferret does fit in teh smaller one a large one offers play room if the slight is long, also a larger carrier allows for a corner style litter box without the ferret walking into it all the time. Flying with pets is very costly it is nearly as much for a dog as it is for a person now a days, be sure to check everything out in advance, also be sure they are legel in ny it would be quite frusterating to arrive with them only to ahve to turn around adn take them back!
