poop everywhere

I have 2 ferrets Mina & Miko 4 months Mina and 4 weeks Miko they are both not pooping in the litter boxes she poops everywhere i don't know how to teach them not to can you please help my house is starting to smell bad. how do I teach them to poop in the litter box and not in the cage or everywhere else but the litter boxes? Please help

Not all ferrets are very good at using the litter box.  You need to make sure that once they wake up, especially for play time, that you place them in the litter box and keep placing them in it  until they go.  Then they can come out to play.  Keep an eye on them when they are out for the daily playtime and make sure that every couple of hours you place them back int he cage to use the litter box.  Then they can come out again.  You will need to make sure they like the litter as some ferrets can dislike a litter and not use it.  You should always use a dust free litter and non clumping litter like newspaper, recycled newspaper etc.  Also make sure you clean it to limit the smell.  Make sure then when they go outside the litter box that you clean it up quickly and thoroughly so they don't smell it there next time and go there again.  Also, make sure you have lots of litter boxes all over the cage and all over the rooms in which they play.
