Missing Ferret

Question
I woke at 7 am this am and my ferret kit of 8 months was eating and having breakfast. She is a free roam ferret and my whole apt id ferret proof. The wind blew open my door today but I was sitting in a chair nearby, saw it happen, closed it and then locked it. I had to run errands to a few hrs. I don't know if she was out playing then or not but I have not seen her since this am and have looked everywhere. I put food around my apt inside and out and put a blanket she has slept in for months outside hoping the string scent will lead her back if she got out. I have looked outside many times today as well. I noticed I had not seen her at three pm, 2 hrs after I got home.I am in wv. Its spring but cool at nights here. I just don't see how she coulda gotten out. I didn't see her in the room at all when the door blew open and I had a clear view right to the door. I just don't know wht do to. Thanks

Dear Stacey,
I am sooo sorry, Sweetie.  Let your apt manager know and also put up posters.  Talk to your neighbors as well.  Hopefully she will turn up.  Also try calling the closest vet offices; someone might try taking her in for shots or something.
