QUESTION: what baby ferret eat and drink between 6 and 7 weeks old?

At that age, you can probably start feeding them hard food that is softened by warm water. With that, though, you should make sure that you change the food every few hours to make sure that isn't going bad on your ferrets. The reason you want that food to be softened is if ferrets are given hard food at too young an age, it can lead to a prolapsed rectum, which is when the rectum sticks out a little. What type of ferret food do you have available to them? Ferrets should eat a food that is 34-36% protein, 20-22% fat and no more than 3% fiber. Ferrets are obligate carnivores which means they can only digest meat, so there should be no corn or corn products within the first three to five ingredients. I'm not sure milk is the way you want to go because it has really no value for ferrets. They need a diet that is high in protein and milk doesn't give them that. You should find a high quality food, and give that to them, soaked with some warm water to make it a little softer. Again, with that, you want to make sure you're changing it every couple of hours so it doesn't go bad! That should be available for them at all times.
