Question
I have a crazy 3 month old ferret named Sapphire. I have two questions. How much outside cage should I allow her to have. I'm going to school soon and I'm not sure what to do with her. I live with my b/f who will only be going to school for a half of day. Do u think it would be bad if we pretty much let her run around in our room all day. If we left her with a litter box and stuff. Also she loves to play with us. But i don't like to play with her with my hand.(for i tend to get bit) What kind of toys would she like to play with that we could play together. Or what kind of things could I make besides the tunnels i've already made her.(pop bottes, paper cups, cardboard box, tissue box)If you have any toy ideals for me pleaze let me know.Thanx a bunch.

Answer
Hello Again Chelsea and thank you for your question.

No you shouldnt let her run around when your not home because she will chew on everything and can possilbe get shcoked from chewing on wires, stuck under a couch trapped behind the fridge and pretty much anything else she can get under or behind. She should be let out for a minimum of three hours daily perferably three different times that why she isnt bouning off the walls at night because you will have just put her back in, I reccomend morning evening & before bed time for exercise times, also be sure the area you let her out in is ferret proofed. For toys can fishing poles are fun but a shoe lace and aa feather will work just as well, try cleaning out a pop can, turning it upside down to air dry then putting some dry peas(they come in a bag) in the can, tape the hole closed and tie the can in a sock she may very well love this. Almost any cat toy will work as ferret toys, my ferrets really enjoyed the cat jinngle balls & the little mice.

I hope this helps if you have any mroe questions feel free to ask.
