MY FEMALE FERRETT WOKE UP...

MY FEMALE FERRETT WOKE UP AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM ALL WAS NORMAL, WHEN A COUPLE MINUTES LATER I NOTICED HER BACKING UP TO HER PAPER AS TO GO AGAIN.  I KNEW SHE HAD JUST WENT SO I CHECKED ON IT AND SHE LEFT A SMALL AMOUNT (ABOUT THE SIZE OF A DIME) CLEAR GWOOIE STUFF.  NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE SHOULD I BE CONCERNED?
SHE IS EATING, DRINKING, ACTING FINE.

I'm so glad to hear that Ozzy seems to be doing better.  I can never just answer questions and not keep these little ones in my heart and on my mind afterwards!  So, glad to hear he his doing better.

You don't say if your female is neutered. If you got her from a pet store, we will *assume* she is neutered (although it has been known to be incomplete spay procedures at times).  Females can also get vaginal infections.  However, I am suspecting that possibly the mucous you saw is over-active intestinal walls producing mucous. Many times in a new living situation, a ferret will get a bit of intestinal upset in the new home.  As long as it's not green or stinky (a disease called ECE), it's not too unusual.   A very nervous ferret can pass mucousy globs on occasion, but if it continues, I would definitely have a vet examine what it is that is being passed (scoop it up and wrap in a zip lock bag and take to the vet to be viewed under a microscope - keep refrigerated between the time the sample is collected and the time it is delivered to the vet).  

Hopefully, it was a one-time event.  If not, don't hesitate to follow up with the vet.  Again, these replies are *assuming* that you are dealing with a neutered female ferret who is not pregnant.
