Answer
Ferrets usually get along with any animal, but it's tricky putting a dog and a ferret together. Many dogs are bred to hunt smaller animals, and ferrets appeal to their hunter instincts. If your dog is anything similar to a Pit Bull, Doberman, Rottweiler or any kind of Terrier, DO NOT try putting them together. Your ferret will end up as a snack. So use your better judgement in this and get your parents to help you decide if a ferret will fit in with your current pets.

A ferret cage should be as large as possible. Minimum for one ferret should be at least 3 feet by 4 feet. Lots of play time outside the cage is needed, at least 3 hours a day. You can give him one toy at a time if you want.
