Ferret eye problems

I noticed this morning that my ferret had trouble opening her left eye. At first I thought she had something cought in it but as the day went on, it seemed to have gotten worse. Her eye is tearing and she keeps closing it, when I gently pulled her eyelid down a little just to see If maybe I could find something, there was this whitish film at the bottom of her eye. What could it be and what can I do in the meantime to help her? I will be taking her to the vet first thing tomorrow.

How old is she?  She may have an infection.  I'd clean it good with warm water.  It's good that you will be taking her to the vet so if it is an infection they can give you oral or eye drops.

I hope she is ok.

Mine have had that and sometimes just washing them out clears it up.
