My ferret wont stop biting

Question
Hello, I recently bought two new ferrets (these are not my first ferrets I had two before them)and they are both young. One is a female and she is 13 weeks old and the other is an 11 week year old male. The male ferret (his name is Oliver) is very excited all the time but will not stop biting. He bites anything and everything he sees. Whenever I go to play with him or pick him up or anything he bites me. Anytime I walk past him he bites my feet. I'm pretty sure it is just a playful bite but he will not stop. Every time he bites I scruff him, tell him no, and put him in his cage for three minutes yet every time I let him back out he bites again immediately. He has a friend so I usually try to let them run around before i go near him but it doesn't seem to change anything. I would really like to stop his habit before he gets much older

Answer
Much like a puppy, ferret kits nip and explore the world with their teeth.  This is normal behavior.  While I wouldn't let him do it (keep my hands away from him), it usually stops between 4-6 months of age.  Make sure he has plenty of appropriate things to chew on and play with and lots of enrichment to keep him (and his mouth) busy.
AT this age, scruffing and a "time out" usually don't work to well and just get them more excited.
