QuestionHi, i am thinking of getting a ferret or two but the only thing holding me back is my cat...she is a huge hunter and i worry she may kill a ferret. she is a very small cat and is also determined. Can and would a ferret defend its self against
a cat?
AnswerUsually ferrets and cats can get along very well. Ferrets are big enough to protect themselves and usually to big to be prey. This being said, do not leave the ferrets unsupervised with the cat until you are very sure they get along. Also make sure each is up to date on vaccinations. My ferrets play with the cats and the oldest cat uses the ferret litter boxes!
