HI RENEE,

I HAVE A FEMALE SAMMY AND SHE HAD 7 PUPPIES. THEY ARE 4 WEEKS OLD AND MY GIRL DOESN'T WANRT TO FEED THEM ANY MORE. WHAT CAN I DO.

Sometimes, when the puppies get their teeth in, mom doesn't want to feed them anymore. They're at the age where you can step in and start to feed them no problem. If mom doesn't want to feed them period, then you'll have to feed them straight away. If she'll feed them atleast a few times a day, then you can slowly change them over to puppy food. Get a flat pan, put the puppy food in it, then soak it in either water or puppy replacement formula. I personally just use water. Let it soak until it's good and soft. Then, put it down in front of the puppies. They'll smell it, and probably play with it at first. Be prepared for a big mess! You can put a piece into their mouths, that usually gets them going with it pretty good. You could also check the pup's nails. If they're pretty long or sharp, mom won't feed them because it hurts her too bad. If their nails are short, and mom's breasts aren't infected, then she may have just decided that she's had enough of it. Good luck!
