Answer
Hello Scott,  Some dogs do have allergies.  Usually skin and hair are directly impacted due to a lack of something in the diet. For the diet, I would add cod liver oil to her diet. You can do this by either buying the liquid and puting in or on her food or the capsule and giving it to her if she is good about taking pills. If using the liquid, get her to a teaspoon a day. Introduce it slowly as it may give her the runs until her digestive system adjusts to it. You will notice a difference in approx. 4 weeks or sooner.  Use your best judgement to the severity of the problem and if necessary take her to the vet for a dianosis. Sometimes you cannot get away from what they are allergic to such as dust or grass, but you can treat it.  I have always found that even if you use an antifungal shampoo you still need to treat the dog internally for a complete attack on the problem.  The cod liver oil will get you going in the right direction.  Do not get disscouraged if she gets the runs just decrease the amount until her body adaps to the introduction of it.  Good luck, Cindy lou :)
