Best Dog for My Family

Hello-
I always have luck with this webiste, so I am giving it a shot once again! I am trying to pinpont what the best dog would be for me and my family. My husband and I do not have children yet, but are actively trying. We would like a dog that is great with kids (lots of nieces and nephews) but would also be a great watch/guard dog.  We have a large yard, and whichever dog we get will need to be comfortable indoors in their pen as well as outdoors, where we are thinking of installing an electric fence. We are looking for the best balance between guard dog (semi-shady neighborhood) and child-friendly dog... Any suggestions? The German Shepherd seems to be the most popular, although my husband and I are not too keen on them. Any suggestions would be helpful!  Thanks so much!

I think the Boxer is the best dog for your need,a German shepard is a very good choice too. A Labrador Retrievers is very good with children, but not very good at guarding.I also think that a Great Dane will suit you well, if you coudn't get one type of the previous dogs.
