dog has bumps all over his body

we have a viszla, one and a half year old and we live in a tropical climate. we took the dog to the vet 4 weeks ago since he's been having bumps all over his neck, face and back. he was treated, it got better for a week and now the bumps are stronger than before. the vet mentioned allergies, but couldn't figure out what it could be. have you ever heard of a problem like that?

Hi Noel, It sounds like he might have an allergy to grass or possibly being bitten by mosquitoes.  The fact that you mention he was treated and he got better, I am assuming that once treatment stopped he got worse again.  A grass allergy would definitely have symptoms like that.  I have seen it in other really smooth haired dogs like weimeraniers & dobermans too.
