Getting along

Question
We have a 1 yr old female pug pom mix.  We just got a 7month old male boxer. The boxer is great.. very calm and well trained.  However our Pugpom goes crazy she barks, the hair stands up on her back but yet she will not come close to the boxer to even try and get to know her.  The whole time the boxer will sit and not bark jump or anything.  How do we get our little pugpom to like the boxer

It's mostly just a matter of time-it sounds more like the little dog wanting to play all of the time,rather than fighting with the boxer,but a good way to get her to stop is to use a water bottle and spray her and say 'stop' loud and firm,and be consistant,and over time this will get her to to stop
