abnormal urine color

I have a female bandoggee she's about 2 months old.  today her urine was red like fruit punch was mixed in it.  Is this normal?

Thank you for writing to me about your darling puppy.

The red color in your dog's urine is likely blood, indicating a potentially serious, even life threatening condition.

My advice is don't walk, but run, to your vet!   

In the meantime, if you can get to a health food store, buy some herbal cranberry and give it to her tonight.  You can also give her some vitamin C.  

My guess would be that your dog has a very bad bladder infection or stones, or both.  She needs to be seen immediately by a vet.
