Somethings horribly wrong with Cuda.

Question
You were the only one available at this time that could provide me with medical information, so I hope you can help me. We own a female Rottweiler, and she's not even a year old (maybe 9-10 months). Obviously, her name is Cuda, as in Barracuda. Since Wednesday, she's been vomiting, but just this morning, she had diarrhea. She won't eat or drink anything, and she looks very weak and troubled. She'll get up and walk around for about a minute, then lay down again. Just today, her diarrhea was very bloody. Is there anything to do?

Answer
Hi Vincent,

I'm sorry to hear that your dog isn't well, but your dog's bloody diarrhea should have been a real wake up call! How much more of a hint do you need before you get your dog to a doctor?

Please do not delay any further in getting your dog the care she needs. Frankly, having waited as long as you have, you may have a real medical emergency on your hands at this point, if your puppy has a disease like Parvovirus.

Call your vet NOW (not tomorrow morning). Many veterinarians have an after hours answering service that can contact them, or they may have other instructions for after hours emergencies.

Best of luck,

Patti
