Seperate dog bowls

Question
I have a 7 year old greyhound who is very sweet and timid. He has his set routine, what he's used to, and he sticks to it. I live with a roommate who has a 6 year old Alaskan Malamut. They have lived together for a year but just in the last month or two the Malamut has been eating all the food in my greyhound's bowl. The Malamut has his food and water dishes in the kitchen, while my greyhound has his food and water dishes in my room. The Malamut has stopped eating the food in HIS bowl, and has been sneaking into my room while I'm at work and eating all of my dog's food! My dog is so used to his routine that even if he's hungry, he won't go eat out of the Malamut's bowl so he just goes hungry. The problem with deterrence is that I can't do anything to make the Malamut not eat my dog's food without turning my dog away from it as well. Chili powder or anything else may get the malamut to stop eating the food but it won't leave anything edible for my dog either. I'm afraid my dog isn't getting enough to eat and I need to find a solution soon! I've caught the malamut in the act a couple times and scolded him but he's still doing it. My dog has been having digestive problems lately and I'm afraid it's because he's not getting enough to eat. Can you help me?!

Answer
Hello my advice.....dont leave the food down at all, feed twice a day morning and evening put the food down for a few minutes and pick it up whatevers left gets put away til next day not next meal it too only four days for my trio to grasp the concept of this and after 7 dyas they would clean tehre bowls each meal and still do to this day, sounds harse but works on getting the dog on a new shedual easily. but for this to work the other dog must be on shedualed meals as well.
