Hello again.  I am sorry to keep bugging you.  Thank you for the compliments.
I just tried the ball today again.  It made her eat slower, but she still didn't chew at all.  Also when she ate the food out from one side of the ball she just moved it and ate the other side fast.  I think maybe she is too smart for me.  lol.  Will it hurt her if she doesn't eat for a day or two though because she doesn't like the ball, stone, etc in there?  I don't want to starve her or anything like that.
I feed her pedigree right now and me and my husband are looking into Iams because it seems like a better food.
I have tried to hand feed her already.  Everytime she chewed I said "good chew" "good girl" and then if she didn't I ignored her.  Then I would give her another piece and tell her good if she chewed and so on.  It worked in my hand but as soon as I thought she got it and started to give it in the bowl again she just started gulping again.  She takes treats and whatever else really gentle.  It is just the food that we have a problem with.
Thank you so much for your time and effort.

Answer
Hi Amber,

Thank you for caring enough to stick with this and follow through.  The energy you put into your puppy now, will last her lifetime.

I think that you should try a larger, heavier rock.  Don't worry about her starving and remember, this is all new to her and it is hard to break a habit once it is formed.  You must give her time and have patience.

When you hand feed her go from one pellet to two and then increase what is in your hand.  Remember to give her the command.

When you start putting her food into the bowl, do it one pellet at a time and give her the same command.  You cannot change her behavior in one day or even one week.  This is going to take time until she "get's it!"  You can even try putting a small amount of food into her bowl and when she finishes it (just enough for one portion) have her sit and wait for the next portion.  Try putting your hand into the food bowl with the food in your hand and then see if she will be a delicate eater using that method.  Give the command. Praise her for her accomplishments. Be consistant (every meal).

Iams is not the kind of food I had in mind when I suggested a higher grade dog food.  I was thinking more in the realm of Solid Gold, Biljack, Flint River, Wellness etc.  Also, her food should be wet for a few minutes before she eats it to help prevent bloat.

It is exceedingly important to add the nutrients that I recommended as I suspect that there may be some underlying nutritional needs that her current food hasn't addressed.

I think that if you find the right size and weight rock, it may prove to be very helpful.

If you feel that I have helped you, I would appreciate it if you could possibly find a moment to leave feedback on my behalf.

Thank you again and I mean it when I ask that you keep in touch and keep me posted.

Best regards,
Shelley
