bloood in puppies stool

Hello dawn we have our puppy ten days now and he has started to pass blood in small drops when he is passing a stool.When we got him home first we realised he was riddled with fleas.We got rid of those the next day and 3 days ago we wormed him and he passed what i thought was a lot of worms now his stools are clear of worms but he is passing blood as well although not everytime he passes a stool what can i do to sort this thanks.

Hi Pat, He may still have worms.  It normally takes 2 treatments for worms to kill them all.  Also, are you worming for tapeworms or roundworms?  Tapeworms are from fleas, and most over-the-counter wormers don't kill tapeworms.  Hope this helps,
