Dachshund with a leeking problem

My 2 year old male dachshund is constantly leaking goop,he is not neutered, what could be causing this and would having him neutered help with the problem?

Answer
Most likely its a yeast infection, which is very common in unaltered males.  Getting him neutered sometimes helps, but it is not guaranteed to stop it.  It should not have a smell, so if it does, or if he is constantly licking himself, you may want to take him to the vet so they can rule out anything more serious.
