I have a 5 month old German& Austrailan Shepard Lab mix. I bottel fed him because his mom wouldnt. And he is kennel trained. The problem is he is jumping up and bitting my 4 year old nephew. And when I try to correct this, he bites me!I'm not sure what I'm d wrong. Would an E collor help? Or getting hin fixed? I have a hands off approch, but I'm at wits end. Thank you,

Hi Kimber,  I would suggest that you started formal obedience classes before you would use an E-collar.  The dog should develop a respect for the word No!  You can use the leash and collar to give corrections for behavior as well so that when he was jumping up you will give him a correction with the leash and a very firm No.  They also have special collars that are helpful for strong dogs and if the dog has gone through basic obedience and is 8-10 months old, I would consider an E-collar.  Innotek provides customer assistance with their e-collars and a video.  Best regards, Dawn Hoppe & Tina K-9
