Question
QUESTION: hello
is it a good or bad idea to buy two male rottweillers pups 13weeks old from the same litter . thank you for any advice you can give me
ANSWER: Well two littermates rarely will fight because they will grow up together, but the problem that does and can happen when buying two littermates is that they will bond to each other, and will often shut you out and ignore you

While this doesn't always happen, the best idea would be to buy another puppy from a different litter and perhaps not at the same time as your first puppy,so he gets to know you first

Another alternative would be that if you still want a puppy from the same litter wait a week or two before bring the second puppy home, although puppies usualy do know it's a littermate,he will have time to bond with you first

QUESTION: Hello again
would i have to sleep them in separate kennels.Do you think it be hard to get them trained together.I forgot to mention that i have a 14 year old westie so far they are looking on him as the alfa at feeding time
thanks again for your help
regards Chris

Answer
Well as puppies they could probably be crated together, but it might make housetraining a little messy, and as adults they might be a bit crowed it probably would be best to crate separately

However if it is an outdoor kennel and big enough,it should be fine many dogs are kenneled together and are fine
